The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has waved aside media report that the proposed November 14 World Cup international friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and La Albiceleste of Argentina in Russia has come under a serious threat from the Islamic State (Isis). According to report by Sports Village Square yesterday, a group posted a picture of Argentina top star, Lionel Messi in prison. The warped image has Messi in prison attire and depicts the global football icon crying tears of blood. As polling officials tallied votes, Kenyans counted the cost Friday of a deeply divisive election marred by low voter turnout and violence that left at least four dead and scores wounded. Nigerian Man Buys South African Man A G-class To Apologise For Impregnating Wife.

A Nigerian man based in South Africa says he does not regret buying a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-class to a South African man as a token to apologise for impregnating his wife. “I know what I did is wrong but I feel better he has accepted my gift. He accepted that his wife, my girlfriend, is pregnant and will soon give birth to my son. He was angry at first but when I presented the car to him his anger vanished,” said the man who identified herself as John. Police abort meeting of Niger Delta leaders.

There was outrage at the police stopping of a meeting of the general assembly of Pan Niger Delta Elders Forum (PANDEF) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, yesterday.PANDEF leaders said the action was dangerous because it would send a bad signal that the government does not appreciate the role the group has been playing to rein in militants and other aggrieved groups in the volatile Niger Delta region. As early as 7:00 a.m. police operatives from the Rivers State Command barricaded Birabi Street leading to Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, venue of the aborted meeting, and prevented delegates, including monarchs and human rights activists from accessing the place. EFCC Arraigns 65-Year-Old Man For Currency Counterfeiting In Kaduna (Photo) .

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Office, on Thursday, 26th October, arraigned one Hussaini Baba before Justice S.M Shuaibu of the Federal High Court Kaduna on a one count charge bordering on currency counterfeiting. Hussaini Baba, 65, farmer and a native of Jahun Local Government Area Jigawa State, was referred to the EFCC from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Kaduna, where operatives of the Corps arrested him while on surveillance duty around Rigachikun Area, Kaduna North. He was in possession of fresh crispy 303 pieces of five hundred and 32 pieces of one thousand naira notes, totalling One Hundred and Eighty Three Thousand Five hundred Naira (N183, 500) only suspected to be counterfeited Nigerian currency. Investigation into the case further revealed that the accused, Hussaini has been involved in this crime for sometime as he stated that he usually sells a bundle of fake currencies for about fifteen thousand naira to unsuspecting ...

Uduak Abasi Umondak's Daughter Is Dead: Victoria Nkanga Herman Her Only Child .

Former First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Uduak Abasi Umondak, is bereaved. Her grief is occasioned by the death of her only child, Victoria Nkanga Herman. It was learnt that Victoria suffered a cardiac arrest in the United States. The 40-year-old lady never recovered from it, as she died On October 2, 2017. Victoria was Uduak’s only child from her marriage to Nsikak Nkanga, the former Military governor of Akwa Ibom state. She was was buried in the USA, where she had lived almost all her life. The funeral service took place on Monday, 9 October, 2017, at Capital Christian Fellowship. 10411 Greenbelt, Lanham, Maryland, USA. The interment took place at National Harmony Memorial Park, 7101 Sheriff Road, Landover.
